Awn عون (art workshops' network) is a studio based gallery created to unleash your talents in different types of arts and crafts. The name عون came after a long history with NGOs that supports refugees around the world, trying to merge them with the communities, that's why عون is here, to sustain better income for refugees. 25% of our profit will be donated for the refugees. We are group of entrepreneurs and volunteers in Cairo (Egypt) and Kavala (Greece) and we are implementing a project that could interest you. Our previous experience in a refugee camps in Greece, made us realize the importance for residents to have activities and spaces in which they can express themselves. Therefore, we would like to introduce our Awn عون (art workshops' network) project. Our plan is to create an art studios where residents could learn, paint, sell and create colorful living space(s). We believe art can create social cohesion, hence bringing a more joyful environment. We already have set up an art studio in a camp in Greece, it has been a success and they keep on using this studio now, feel free to text for more information if you need. The idea is to create breathtaking artworks and crafts in Cairo, and to conduct a series of workshops. Then to travel to support refugees, install the studio and do some activities during one month. Then to let all the material in the camp and to explain to the following volunteer what they can do with the studio. Then move to another camp and so on... We will build the entire project (i.e. funding, collecting material, etc.). We would be pleased to have your feedback about this project later on. Are you interested in this project?
